2010–04–13 How–Could... Next step, advertisement purchasing promotion phase

Say that three times fast!

The site is looking like it's in pretty good shape. Soon, I will buy some adwords ads for how-could.com to start driving more traffic to the site. I wanted to have a decent amount of content on the site before I started to hardcore promote. I will start with a small daily budget and set my campaign up accordingly with keywords I think will relate well with how-could.com.

So far this site has not had much traffic. The main reason for that is because I wanted to make sure the development phase is complete. Now that everything is set up... url, site, search engine submission, spider content, adsense, and other then a few minor tweeks. I will move onto the next phase which is promoting my site!

By promoting my site and buying ads i will boost my daily traffic and create conversions. I'm going to wait until I have a few more posts until I really start promoting, but you should see a boost in views and hopefully revenue.

Sure, this site could have been built around a CMS like WordPress Drupal or Joomla. But for this project a hand coded site will rank better in search engines in the long run. Hand coded built sites usually always gets organically favored in search engines. Plus, I'm pretty skilled at coding and enjoy the flexibility of placing or changing things when needed.

Google sees WordPress sites mostly as blogs. With that being said, Google expects that blogs will be updated regularly. If they don't get regularly updated, then Google will start to penalize you and dropping the site further and further back in the list.
